and six equity-method affiliates.
The Orico Group's main operations are financial services, including consumer credit,
credit cards and others.
The Orico Group also offers debt collection and servicing, runs a temporary employment
service and offers a wide variety of other services to meet customers' needs.
As one of the largest consumer finance companies in Japan, Orico provides consumer
credit, credit cards, guarantee and loan agent services, and direct cash loans
through a network of 132 domestic branches.
These financial services are also available nationwide through more than 825,000
member merchants.
Orico's business dates back to 1954, when Hiroshima Coupon was founded.
In 1974, all businesses were merged and succeeded by Orient Finance, former name
of Orico, which was incorporated in 1951. |
