Inclusion and diversity basic policy

Orient Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "we") has established the following "Inclusion and Diversity Basic Policy" based on its "Philosophy" and "Orico's Sustainability Statement", recognizing that by accepting and utilizing the different ideas, perspectives and values of each employee, we will increase employee engagement and enhance Orico's competitiveness and thus its corporate value.

  1. We recognize inclusion and diversity as a strategic driver that creates added value incustomer-centric product development and services. We embrace inclusion as an enabler of transformation.


    • (1) Diversity

      We accept a diverse workforce regardless of nationality, race, age, ethnicity, religion, sex, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity, and value the different ideas, perspectives, and values they bring in. This is how we foster diversity.


    • (2)Equity

      We will provide tailored support to each individual's situation so that each individual can maximize his or her performance, in order to create a foundation where all employees have a fair opportunity to take on challenges. We also aim to create an organization where everyone can be themselves, free from preconceptions, assumptions, past customs, and unwritten rules.


    • (3)Inclusion

      We will diversify our personnel involved in important decision making l as well as the people who drive our business forward. Simultaneously, through collaboration and ensuring that all our employees can utilize their expertise, skills, and experience to create change, we will enhance our competitiveness.

  2. We will educate all executives and employees on inclusion and diversity in order to foster a corporate culture that values it, and to utilize this culture to enhance corporate value.

  3. To promote inclusion and diversity, we will establish a specialized department to plan and promote inclusion and diversity, and build a system to monitor such planning and promotion.

  4. We will disclose the status of our inclusion and diversity initiatives internally and externally, ask for feedback from stakeholders, and constantly strive to improve our initiatives, taking into account the changes in the business environment and social trends and demands.
