Prevention of lifestyle diseases and measures to prevent serious illnesses

We are working with the health insurance association to prevent lifestyle diseases by increasing the rate of health checkups to post-medical checkups.
We are also working to raise awareness of healthy eating and exercise habits.

Key initiatives

100% health checkup rate

  • We maintain a 100% health checkup rate as required by law.

Cooperating with the Health Insurance Association

  • We conduct health checkups and specific health examinations, and maintain a 100% examination rate among executives and employees.
  • The health insurance association covers the cost of medical examinations for employees aged 35 and older, and recommends a health checkup that examines more than just the legally required items.
  • The criteria for selecting employees who are subjected to post-health checkups and specific health guidances are shared to ensure that both are implemented efficiently.

Enhanced follow-up measures for health examinations

  • We notify the criteria for post-examination measures to all employees, and the respective supervisors, HR personnel, and industrial physicians work together to promote employee health management.
  • The health examination results are evaluated by the head industrial physician, based on a criteria standardized across the entire company. Industrial physicians and public health nurses recommend medical consultations, monitor treatment progress, and offer guidance on diet and exercise.

Supporting healthy eating habits

  • We conducted seminars on "Food and Health" during lunch time. A total of 107 employees participated during this fiscal year.
  • Our head office cafeteria has been certified based on the "healthy eating and dining environment" (commonly known as the "Smart Meal") assessment.

Establishing exercise habits

  • As an important issue and goal in our health management, we aim for over 30% of employees to adopt regular exercise habits.
  • To address the lack of exercise due to remote work, we have been promoting excercise by streaming videos by our athlete employees on our Facebook page.
  • During lunch breaks, we conduct exercises with our athlete employees using balance balls and resistance bands.
  • We utilize easily accessible tools. The content is also designed so that the exercises can be easily practiced by anyone at home.
  • We organize walking events using a smartphone app in collaboration with the Health Insurance Association.
  • The events are open for both individual and team participation, enhancing motivation among the event participants.
